Braeburn

Place of Origin:  Nelson, New Zealand

Year: 1952

Parentage:  Lady Williams' x open-pollinated seedling

Uses:  Eating, Baking

History at Three Springs: Planted for market in 2010

Of all of the varieties new to Three Springs, Braeburn is a real standpoint to me. It has this raw, rowdy acidity that I find alluring. Great texture and holds up exceedingly well in storage. A new favorite of mine!
