Yep! It's a yellow Gala. However, I would not classify it as "just" a yellow Gala because not all Gala are alike! The Kidd's D-8 Gala from which Blondee originates is one of the best tasting Galas, before a desire for color and uniformity took precedence over flavor. Discovered on the farm of Bob & Tom McGlaughlin, Blondee has that syrupy sweetness often lacking in other Gala types.
